The Famous Bollywood Diva and Great Dancer Madhuri Dixit Nene is ready for a big comeback in Bollywood after a six years of interval with two undertakings i.e. Vishal Bharadwaj’s home creation Dedh Ishqiya and Anubhav’s produced Gulab Gang. The newcomer and young Soumik Sen are directing Gulab Gang with the great star cast Juhi Chawla, Mahie Gill, Shilpa Shukla and others.
On other hand, Abhishek Chaubey directed film Dedh Ishqiya stars Madhuri Dixit, Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi act in the lead roles. The film is a story of sentiment between people got in a web of wrongdoing, anticipation, ardour and double dealing. Naseer and Arshad reprise their role as Khalujan and Babban respectively in the film as like their previovs film Ishqiya.
Madhuri Dixit, after her marriage in 1999 to a US-based surgeon, did Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas in 2002. After having a great success in Devdas for their dance as well as acting, she again took a long break from Bollywood. In 2007, she then took a break and staged a comeback with Aditya Chopra’s home production Aaja Nachle. Despite missing from the silver screen, the 46-year-old filmstar was very much present on small screen. She appeared as one of the judges in TV dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in season four and five.
In their interview Madhuri said, “I have done everything in this film – fight scene, dancing and singing. It is an entertaining film. We are stating amazing things through some shots of this film to entertain our audience. It is not an overwhelming film which conveys sermons. It was great working with another crop of performers. They were full of energy, have ideas and are confident. It was wonderful working with talented actors,”
In Gulab Gang, Actress Madhuri Dixit plays a woman who forms a group of women vigilantes in ‘Gulaab Gang’ and says it is a very powerful character. She acts a role of daring lady Rajjo, who unites an aggregation of ladies who dress in pink saris and battle against treachery in the Bundelkhand locale.
Madhuri Dixit is excited about the Remo D’Souza choreographed song in her much awaited movie ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ and says that the dance director tried something different in it.
