Delhi: Victims of Road Accidents, Acid Attacks and Fire Incidents will get free treatment at private hospitals.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain tweeted on December 12 that the Delhi Government will bear the costs required for the treatment of street mischance, fire mishap and corrosive assault casualties in private doctor’s facilities. The plan was first reported on March 10.

“The move is aimed at saving lives of such people during the golden hour after accidents on Delhi’s roads, be it road accident, fire and acid attacks,” Jain told reporters at a press conference.

*Delhi Govt to bear all expenses for treatment of any accident victim on city roads.
*Applicable to both residents or non residents of Delhi.
*Free treatment even in Private hospitals because many lives are lost looking for Govt hospital.
*No upper cap of expenses to be borne.

After the endorsement of the plan by the Cabinet, Kejriwal said, “Every life counts. Every life is important to us. If an accident victim receives best medical care immediately, many lives could be saved.”

They say that many individuals endeavor to take the casualties to government healing centers even after the private doctor’s facilities are nearer. Subsequently, to spare the “Golden Hour” this decision has been taken. The proposition will now be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for endorsement.
