Jain Community Declared as Minority Group by Central Govt.

After a long fight and political up-down, Jain community finally declared as Minority community of India. Ahead the elections of Lok Sabha, the Indian Govt. finally fulfills the demand of Jain community to declare their community as Minority community of India. After a long pending decision, Govt. has finally taken a decision to grant Jain community as a minority status at national Level.

Now in India, they can get all benefits governmental benefits and various other scheme plans. After this decision, Jains of 14 states would happy and enjoys all the beneficiary scheme of Indian Govt. From a long period of time, Jain community demanded for declares their community as a minority. On Monday, govt. granted the authority to gain the reimbursement in national scheme and programs.

The Govt, grant their appeal after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi brought up this matter in front of Indian PM Manmohan Singh. An assembly of Jains had met Rahul Gandhi on Sunday to press for their life-long demand for minority status and he then spoke to the PM.

The Jains became the sixth community to have minority status after Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis. Minority Affairs Minister K Rahman Khan told PTI that his ministry would soon issue a notification on the issue.

The choice of the legislature’s lawful arm is dependent upon the reexamined assessment from its top law officer, Attorney General GE Vahanvati, who expressed that “it is intrinsically reasonable to issue a notice pronouncing Jains as a minority group and if the administration were to acknowledge the proposals of the National Commission for Minorities, it won’t be not be unlawful.”

After declaring as minority community, the approximately 50 lakh people might get an allotment in National treasure that is reserved for minority’s welfare programs. They can likewise oversee and direct their own particular institutional foundations. Currently, this community also has minority status in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan however the new choice broadens this nation over.
